Node Ahmedabad didn't begin with a formal business plan or a high-level meeting. It began, quite simply, on a casual walk down the street with a few friends who shared a common interest: Node.js.

The idea sparked from an excited, electric discussion, an almost playful challenge to ourselves. We started imagining: What if we hosted a local meetup specifically for the Node ecosystem in Ahmedabad? How would we manage it, and who would even show up? These small, casual conversations quickly turned into a purpose we couldn't ignore. We decided to stop imagining and start building.

Our first step was straightforward: we created a simple registration form and announced the event. We set a conservative goal, expecting perhaps 50 to 80 Node developers to attend.

The response was immediate and overwhelming. We were genuinely blown away: within the first 24 hours, registrations sprinted past 100. The momentum was undeniable. The numbers kept climbing, 150, 200, 300, and eventually topping over 350 registrations.

On the day of our very first meetup, over 180 developers actually showed up. Watching that room fill up, all born from random street conversations, was a truly surreal and humbling experience.

The journey of Node Ahmedabad is a testament to the community's passion. We aren't a fancy, corporate initiative; we are a group of friends driven by a simple idea, fueled by excitement, and supported by a developer ecosystem that showed up bigger than we ever expected.

And that's how it continues: Nothing fancy. Just a shared passion for Node, a lot of excitement, and a community ready to learn, collaborate, and grow together.
